What's the difference between having midiloops in Live controlling your carefully selfproduced soft-or hardware synth preset ... or looping this prerecorded sample as audio ... . If that's the way you want midi for, I don't think we are speaking creativ...

I'm kind of in that boat I guess. I don't think that it's silly for you to use a loop based sequencer like Live for non-rhytmic stuff.
