Re: IT PLACES THE BEATS IN THE BASKET!!!!!

@arctic ranger I don't even really hate on the guy, he's having fun, but yeah, that hat man? Can you seriously look at that vid and not go, "Well good on him, but WTF happened to the UK where they think dressing like a NASCAR loving meth addict from Ohio is a good thing?": I think he's Au...

Re: Bleep Pick Of The Week: LORN

I'm pretty much at a loss with this one. It's the same as with Brainfeeder maker Flying Lotus...technically really good with lots of nice production ideas and their own sound quality...but on the emotional side it leaves me with a shrug. No warmth in it, maybe a bit to nerdy for me...what do you gu...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

I did contact NI directly and they offered to take the hardware unit and inspect it, then repair or replace. They only refund delivery up to £12 though but even the basic UPS etc. is at least £40. Where the hell can I get delivery to Germany of a parcel for £12? I sent it back (entire hardware/softw...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

Has anyone had issues with build quality? The first Maschine I had, the faceplate wasn't stuck down properly (at the top above the screens). I could press it down and it would stick, but it would soon pop up again. It's only a small flex but it's noticeable. The replacement i've just received also h...

Re: speaking of plug-ins..

Where did you see that? It's about £3000 ($4400+) here. I looked into these last year and the Quad Omni doesn't actually have all the plug-ins (it was missing about 7 I think when I checked). It's fair enough that it'll be missing some of the latest releases, but i'm fairly certain there were some l...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

Yeah, i've been using it for a total of a few hours and so far it's great. I have that annoying feeling that there's a lot more to learn though, but once I do i'll be really speedy with this thing.

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

Well my question was related to how clips behave in Live.

And dragging audio out is not mentioned in the manual I have (only export audio).

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

When you drag audio from the plugin into an audio track in Live the tempo of the clip is always a bit off (eg. 102bpm when the project tempo is 104bpm) - is this Live's fault?

Maschine always adds silence (usually a couple bars) to the end of the audio clip too - is that normal?

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

How about tabletop clamp stands for Maschine?

Found this...
Spacetek - too expensive?
Lindy Notebook Arm

Will Maschine fit on either of those? That second one looks like it might be too small. If anyone has either of these it would be great to get some insight.

Re: Keyboard Stands and laptop question.

Well I did used to use the stand with a 15" Macbook Pro on the top tier and it was fine. However, I used to push it right back so that the screen was touching the main diagonal support, which means you can't open the screen to some crazy angle.

Re: Keyboard Stands and laptop question.

I've just tried it. You can fit a laptop and an APC40 fine, but it's possible to flip the APC40 over if you were to apply too much pressure to the bottom of the unit (where the name and logos are). So there is a bit of a "hole" in the middle and i'd be a bit worried about stability (unless...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

When using your own samples - I assume you tag them with the browser so you can find them more easily later - but do these samples stay in their original location on your drive, or do they get imported in a "Maschine folder"?

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

So what's the difference between Groups, Scenes and Patterns?

As far as I can tell, Groups are a way of sorting different elements of your track (drums, bass, lead etc.), and Patterns are contained within Scenes, sort of like clips in scenes in Live?
