I've seen many requests for this feature going back 6+ years. Ableton needs to quit letting the bean counters make all the decisions.

A Renoise user created a script that does basically the same thing, and it already works better than Ableton. lol

That's how most samplers work unless they are using a time stretching effect.

Both NI Massive and Absynth have a 256 samples (5.80ms) latency according to my DAWs. Zebrify has 16 Samples (0.36 ms)... this is at 44.1 though.

In other DAWS your usualy limited to a few plugins per track and the routing is more limited. I think these limitations in plugin count and routing possibilties would make it easier for them to compensate things like automation or tempo based effects. Bezier curves, but still no snap to grid? That's completely ridiculous.

The problem with pdc combined with no snap to grid makes automating plugins extremely frustrating compared to other DAWs.

Yes..Cubase, Pro Tools, and FL Studio do compensate automation.

There's no real workaround besides not using any 3rd party plugins, which is completely ridiculous for such expensive software. Every other DAW already does this stuff properly.

Can we get somebody from Ableton to comment on this?

Basically Live's PDC on VST plugins only compensates the audio..not the midi , which causes automation to be out of sync when you start adding more plugins before or after an automated plugin. Most other DAWs will compensate this properly, but Ableton has always had this problem.

I was really hoping this PDC would be fixed, so I could actually use Live as my main DAW. It will probably never be fixed since it hasn't yet by version 9. No pdc or snap to grid make automating plugins a real pain in the ass.
