Re: Option to swap drum rack samples *only*, not sends
Would be nice to be able to do them all at once as a kit though. yeah. I guess wanting this, among other things, was how 128s in Sampler was born. If you think about the rack a sub-mixer it makes little sense mixer settings would change with the sound. Would holding down alt , for example when repl...

Re: Option to swap drum rack samples *only*, not sends
The option to only swap a Drum Rack's samples for another saved Drum Rack, without overwriting the sends. Most times I want to just swap over the samples within the Rack, but want to keep the sends I have setup for the track . This is how drum samplers act when swapping sample kits (geist, mpc, mas...

Do you arm the tracks? You need this to hear.washburnbill wrote: If I set Monitor to “auto” I can’t hear it while recording.

Re: Sync to Mainstage on 2nd mac via MIDI network not working
As far as I can tell, I have it set up correctly and Live sees the network in Link MIDI preferences. But it just won't see the clock when I hit Ext, the external sync switch. Some details: I have two macbooks. One running Mainstage, and the other Ableton Live. I want Ableton to follow Mainstage's M...

Re: Oscilloscope render screen position issue.
Hi there! Now I have found great oscilloscope device & I want to have it inside my setup. http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=2713#11926 It seems that it has the default render screen position. Every time when I open the project with this device my last saved custom render screen ch...

Re: CPU Overloading with Ableton
clogged up cooling systems and/or crappy thermal paste (which helps conduct the heat from the CPU/GPU to the cooling system) can also cause that kind of behaviour... Yes, I think this is not the issue here as I applied the thermal paste myself almost extremely carefully. I am suspecting the GPU to ...

Re: Samples editing
When I want to edit my sample in Live 10 and I delete or deactivate the part I don't need in the arrangement view, it still keeps playing! What am I doing wrong? Could be that you're playing back a clip from Session. Look at the track in Arrangement view. If there's a play symbol to the right in th...

Yes. Extend the note offs to after the clip end in the first clip and the note ons to before the clip start in the second clip.Celtic46 wrote:Can I continue a note without interruption into the next MIDI-clip.

Re: Let's talk about the CPU !
Further even as my experience above indicate speed-stepping can happen also for other reasons than the CPU getting too hot — I got back full power at temperatures above what I had when encountering crackles — looking over your temperatures for the CPU and the graphics card would seem very important ...

Re: Let's talk about the CPU !
A good first step is to make sure your CPU is not stepping down the operating frequency. If it is you have to find the cause of this hardware issue instead of solely looking at Live . The graphics card and it's drivers can also be involved in these things, as I think was touched on here, as can audi...

5 minutes later the CPU is at 75°C and back at 3 GHz. no crackles whatsoever. Live fluctuates between 40 and 64% according to the CPU Meter with the exact same scene.Stromkraft wrote: Clearly this is the CPU kicking in some protection or power save mode. It's not Live!

Re: CPU Overloading with Ableton
An observation I just made: My 2.2 GHz I7-2720QM CPU according to Intel Power Gadget 3.0.3 usually runs at about 3 GHz with a base clock of 0.22 GHz. At the moment it's at a temperature of about 70°C. When I check the frequency, because I had stutter at 512 samples audio buffer it's down to about 1....

Re: mastering Urgent request!
My advice would be to go in and solo each of your tracks and see where your levels are constantly near the top, and see what disabling plug-ins on the track does and how you might be able to compensate for the volume to where you want it without the plug-in. Could also be there is some dominant aud...
