helo! is there any vst compressor with presets for sounds?(kick, bass, lead, perc..?

Helo i need to see the waveform of my tracks to find the loudest peak. how can i do it?? im refering to vsts also

what amount of Q is mostly used when equing kick, bass and so on?? on ableton its on default 0.71. when i put it lower it becomes more round, is that good??

Ok thx for the help! i see in a toturial that if i boost on one instrument i must cut in the same freq in another instrument. is that right??

i have seen many Eq tutorials but they dont explain this. Can the freq on different tracks (synth, perc..) be the same or does all need to be different? i have a lead boosted on 7k and another on 6k. and can a perc be on same freq like a synth? im guesing there is a fact about this!

when i turn a knob on any vst to ''0'' it crashes

I use a HP Pavillion dv9000 (i dnot know where to see my system info)
im using the m-audio audiophile usb( i tryed to use the pc speakers insted but i got the same error

Oh i didnt turn of the m-audio card when i was using the pc speaker

i have been getting this error all day ''ableton fatal error:the audio engine is not responding''
anyone know??

how do i completly remove ableton 8 from vista? i deleted all the files i could find but stil when i reinstalled it had the same settings
