agreed, I've been on the runtime bandwagon since the beginning, as i pointed out then, I think its cool that people want to make the devices but I simply dont have the time or the inclination. But of course i want to use some of them. Preferably a native assignable LFO would be even better though......

For me, if it isn't being used as an effect, it really is to level out the dynamic range and on guitars and vocals I would keep that fairly light in touch, no more than 4:1 ratio with a nice soft knee, I tend to keep this working on the peaks and look for no more than 3db gain reduction at any given...

Look up K-Metering system which should lead you to a guide on calibrating your monitors by measuring spl at the listening point when playing a certain tone at a certain level in your DAW.
