Well according to Izotope's website, Digidesign licensed the algorithm used in Izotope's Radius for their own Audio Suite plugin X-Form back in 2006. I can imagine that this could possibly be the same algorithm behind at least some of Elastic Audio (probably the polyphonic mode) It's hard to compare...

Why don't you just create a return track for each monitor. Have your sends post fader and set to 0dB so you are reflecting the output of the fader. Assign to each return to it's respective outputs in Ext. Out and you should be good to go. Maybe.

Actually, all my old midiman stuff doesn't work anymore. There's a Midisport at my school that goes crazy when more than three channels are played at the same time. Even my bro's FW410's Midi I/O only works half the time. Yeah, for a company that used to have MIDI in their name, M-Audio sure makes s...

If you had A LOT of time on your hands you could probably meticulously multisample the Z3TA plugin and create your own Sampler patch. at least it would give you that particular waveform??? Lots of work, but potentially worth it in the end.

I'm pretty sure the Live doesn't send program changes so you wouldn't be able to change sound banks from within Live. Correct me if I am wrong.

One thing you can use a compressor for is as a de-esser. Ableton's Compressor has a preset that uses Compresser with a sidechain EQ boosting at sibilant frequencies. It only reacts and attenuates when you hit that 5k-10k range where most sibilance is. Of course you shouldn't boost the gain on this c...

Also whats the deal with the foam mats you can get for monitors. Are these really worth all the cash?? Some of em seam pretty expensive for a piece of black sponge? The Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizers are worth the money. As most reviews say, they really clear up the bass and makes for an all aroun...

Well the Shure 8900 is meant for consumer use and not really meant to sound all that great. How are you hooking it up? You should be hooking it up using an XLR cable into the mic input. You shouldn't be hooking it up thru the mini cables and the adapters that come with it into the guitar input. As f...

What microphone are you using? That might help us more. But from what I'm reading it seems to be a problem with your hardware. M-audio and its software and hardware aren't known for being the most reliable. Make sure you have the latest drivers though I doubt M-Audio has updated the original Fast Tr...

As far as I know, Live supports only VST and AU. So if you're on Windows, you only have the option of VST. I don't think Timeworks makes VSTs do they? So that's kind of a let down.

The Faderfoxes only use MIDI cables. They don't have USB. But the only reason that would stop anybody is that they don't have MIDI I/O on their interface. And anyone without an external interface or soundcard should get one imho. And even though they is no USB, there is still native support in Live ...

How about just buying a sustain pedal for your MIDI keyboard? And if you don't have a MIDI keyboard, then buy a MIDI keyboard then a sustain pedal?

Yupit's probably the Mbox2. I think it's because of the way that USB gets data. I might be wrong but i think USB has to ask the computer to transfer data between itself while firewire just directly connects to it. Anyway, if you need to use Pro Tools LE, then you should consider the Mbox2 Pro or 003...

I don't under stand why you would need a mixer to do what you need to do. and as long as you have that Mbox, you're still going to have latency with Live. If you have a good enough fw interface you should be able to use a low enough buffer setting so you can have your singer pass through Live with m...

Any firewire interface should do the trick. In my experience, and I've owned the original Mbox, Mbox 2, and Mbox2Pro, is that firewire has much less latency than USB. Using a DI box won't fix the latency that's with the original MBox. If you don't need to use your fw interface with Pro Tools, I woul...
