Re: sampler repeat loop

Assuming you've got a loop mode seton the Sample tab, also make sure you have the sustain on the amp envelope up in the Filter/Global tab.

Re: Audio Editing Alternative

If you edit your audio with Sampler or Simpler you can enable Snap mode or use short fades to avoid pops.

Try not to get carried away with mixing while you're still tracking and arranging.

Speaking of not wasting time and using this forum correctly, why do you pull up a thread that has already died like 10 years ago ?

Bit necrophile, if you ask me.
Ghost FX probably just stumbled on the thread in some search results and didn't note the date on it.

Re: Undo (Ctrl+Z) randomly does not work (Live 9.0.1)

I've found that undoing doesn't give you expected results when using certain Max patches. For example, if you have a Max patch that is "on" and constantly updating parameters, any CTRL-Z you do is reacting to that. This can go easily unnoticed. Edit I've been in a situation, editing a tra...

Re: Automation assign pages?

A bummer is that you can't map the same parameter to multiple knobs (i.e. having 4 knobs control Filt. Freq + param 1, param 2, param 3, param 4, etc) How would that work in a predictable way? If you have 4 knobs each controlling the same filter cutoff + 1 different thing on each what happens to th...

Are your new Sends set to Pre-Fader? They should be if you want the audio from them to still hit the return tracks even with the source tracks' volumes down.

This is exactly what the M4L Envelope Follower you get with Live 9 Suite is for.

Re: Tricks with Ableton

If you use an APC40 you'll still need an audio interface as the APC40 is just a controller, no audio in it whatsoever whereas the DJM2000 has one built in. You may also want to check out the A&H Xone DB2 or DB4 mixers, I like how they sound a lot more than the Pioneers (I owned and played on Pio...

Re: [SOLVED] old vs new compressor? FF1/FF2? yupiihhh!

Guys, from Live 8's manual: "Opto mode results in a non-linear release curve. Specically, the release behavior is faster initially, and slows down as the gain reduc- tion approaches zero." From Live 9's manual: "In addition to these modes, Compressor can be switched between two envelo...

Re: Ableton + external interface + club mixer- cabling question

You have a few options, but first: Check your foul mouthed bad attitude. Just because you didn't get the answer you wanted doesn't mean it wasn't correct. rj45? Seriously? Just because your laptop has an rj45 connector on it doesn't mean it's at all appropriate. I actually find it amazing that you s...

Re: how to modulate LFO using clip envelopes

The short answer is probably "yes". However, you're going to need to be more specific about what you're trying to do. For starters, and LFO and a filter are two different things. What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish?

Re: Max for Live requests - what would you like to see?

my real desire is for a m4l patch which allows one to consistently jump to a specified location in a clip. It would be simple if the move_playing_position call accepted absolute values, but it only allows relative jumps. Hmm... Seems like if you know (or can calculate) the clip length/time, the mar...

Re: i am looking for a scales plugin

Want to play in a particular key? Just use a C Major or C Minor Scale MIDI effect and transpose it to your desired key. Now the white keys (C Major scale) of your MIDI controllers are the actual degrees of your scale. Want to use the triads corresponding to your scale? Just put a major triad Chord ...
