theres number of ways to reach the goal your doing

you can create an instrument rack with a chain of instruments, and then select 'chain' then midi map to the chain select ruler, and you can automate which instruments play at what time

oh but thats if they are midi tracks

yea they are removeable. i had my akai mpk49 covered in a kill bill montage, but it didn't look right. so i took it right off. When and if you buy a cover, its tedious to apply, not hard though.

^lulz anyway to the OP. just start banging out songs/ideas. That's how you learn, by just exploring and letting the music motivate you. Everyone starts by making trash songs and learning from mistakes. youtube is definitely your friend. you can pretty much find any answer there, and in the comments....
