Live 4.04 (Sound Drops Out)

Using the "built in" sound card, after an hour or so in working with the program, I've been experiencing sound drop outs for entire sections of a song in the Arrange view. I began fishing around and found that if I turned off the filter delay on one of the tracks, all of the sound came bac...

I've had something very similar happening to me except I use the M-Audio Firewire 1814 soundcard. I would love to get to the bottom of this! Bringing up the buffer got rid of the crackles, but I'm on a brand new G4 Powerbook 17" with 1.5Ghz processor and 2GB of RAM and the buffer is up to 14ms ...

Wow, all I can say is what an incredible let down. I have an 1814, not a 410, but it seems they suffer the same problems, only that what they offer in terms of I/O is different. I'm bringing mine back. What's the alternative? Who else puts out a line of compact FireWire Audio/midi interfaces.

Wow, that's enough for me! Come to think of it, when I was using a midisport 2x2 with 10.3, I never had the issue! Ironically, that is the same company, no? Thanks for the hope my friend. Unfortunately for me, I'm in the boondocks recording and spent all my dinero on the setup I'm using now which do...

That is preposterous... There absolutely is hope... You just need to get away from the USB hardware. I have a MOTU 828 MkII and I run significant numbers of tracks (up to 24 in one set) to all 10 analog outputs (stem mixing) to do analog summing. I have a 1Ghz PowerBook G4 (15") with 512Mb of ...

I've sent several emails to support and spoken with techs regarding the problems I'm having. They have brought me through clean uninstalls via the Terminal, repairing permissions, switching to bus power only, and making sure there are no other firewire devices plugged in. Nothing helps. Another thin...

I use an M-Audio 1814 on a brand new G4 17" PowerBook, 1.5 Ghz proc,, 2GB RAM and I get the glitches too. It's more then that really. I actually have in my possession (2) FW 1814's and it happens on both. I am also a longtime user and so far LIve 4.x doesn't work as well as the others.

Live 4.03 w/M-Audio 1814 (similar problems)

I am sitting here with a brand new G4 PowerBook 17", 1.5 Ghz chip, 2GB RAM, FW 1814, Live 4.03 and I've got loads of problems! I actually have (2) 1814's, the second which I got from my dealer to make sure I did not have a lemon and they're both screwy. I also use Reason and Logic but have no p...

Getting closer! Being able to drop the effects in the scenes, as well as having the ability to transpose entire scenes would allow you to more easily copy and add the scene a few times with different pitches on each making it really fast in improvisational songwriting. I have all of my scenes set up...

I had a recommendation that would help what you're talking about in some cases. The idea is to be able to drop effects on scenes, as well as adjust pitch and stuff like that for entire scenes. This way on the fly you could transpose stuff instantaneously, making improvising more effective!

thank you for the tip! I'm familiar with that technique. I guess my wish to throw an effect on a scene is born more out of improvising live with LIVE, where you could just spontaneously plop an effect on a scene that you've just created on the fly. In doing it with sends, you can't really be spontan...

Drop Effects on Scenes

The ability to drop an effect on a whole scene would be really cool! As DJ's often do, it would be nice to throw a filter, delay, distortion, whatever across all that is playing at once, without it being on the MASTER.
