Sorry for the (sort of) off topic, but out of curiosity, why is "base" a banned word in this context?

Another one with millions of files here, and I use exactly the same naming strategy (search-significant path names, etc etc) as groovyomega , but I use Everything by Voidtools to do the searches -- and in turn, I keep absolutely minimal content in actual Live locations, for example. "Everything...

Yeah, it's an error in the way the upgrade path is taken into account when going from the Standard edition of the same major Live version to the Suite. If it's intentional, it's still an error in my opinion (as in, it's just wrong.)

You can for example send the sound to Reverb, but then use Time Shift to delay the actual sound source so you're reverb will sound before the signal it responds to. Well, actually - Bitwig has an aptly called Time Shift device that can delay your signal or move it forward in time (by delaying everything else). BTW, this is also available in Bitwig - I can grab the clip, drag it with a modifier (I think it's Alt, not 100% sure) further down the same track or to a completely different track and the instrument (+nested FX) will bo bounced to audio. And oh, that is so freezingly cool it approaches absolute z...

So in this particular case, when running the track, FM-4 and 5 nested FX get dynamically replaced by audio sample, so they don't consume CPU cycles and they're turned back on as soon as MIDI shows up. A more efficient audio interface (as in, being more efficient as a whole, including the drivers) will have a positive performance impact on all realtime audio tasks.
