For instance, on my Axiom49, the encoders are not mapped correctly to the macro's on Lives Racks/presets. You control the top left macro with the bottom left encoder. So, using this as an example, I could rescript? the CC messages to permanently fix this? You won't change the CC message being sent ...

Some features (basically all the ones I thought were interesting . . .) aren't active in the beta, they'll be included with purchase of Automap Pro. Someone on KVR said it will be a paid upgrade (₤20), which would be a little disappointing given that you don't usually have to pay to cut and paste or...

How do they compare/contrast to the live effects? (to lazy to download demo. also do not want to get plugs and use in demo mode and then have a track I like and then be forced to buy them) Philosophically they've just got different aims. Ubhiks are intended to be botique-ish effects with a lot of t...

I'm 50/50-ish on using presets in terms of building an arrangement for a track, not every element of sound design can be done before a lot of the elements are in so it's not worth micromanaging too much that early on. If a preset is as close to what I could get in a few minutes, that's fine, it will...

Someone posted this on KVR . . . http://music.metafilter.com/2943/Runnin-With-The-Songsmith I wonder how much the vocals on the promo video got processed, and if the software processes vocals. I'd check myself but I'm afraid my MIDI gear will spontaneously explode or I'll have seizures if I run this...

Wicked tip...coupled with some tweaks from PSP Vintagewarmer, it really brought out the best out of this troublesome kick I was using on this track...thanks Kaffein! I wonder whether you can apply the same technique to tighten up other instruments given that you input the relevant frequency to the ...

And I didn't understand: If it works, is it then possible to drag in one of abletons effects and have that properly assigned to nocturn's controls? Or do I have to use the learn function again? Live has a method to 'lock' onto a single Live device, graphically indicated by a hand icon on the device...

As far as I'm aware, there are no small units that have a pitchbend / modwheel - I think one of the faderfoxes has a mini-joystick but the best pitchbend/modwheel controllers are pretty solid and fairly large (and attached to a keyboard . . .). I would like something like that. Of course a lot of th...
