Re: Bitwig vs Ableton - PDC Test (Video)
For that reason, I am personally not bothered at all about PDC. I just don't need it, and (if I understand it correctly) Live's own approach to timing is very much linked to their approach to latency in a performance situation. This is a misunderstanding of the problem. It is not in any way a benefi...

Re: real time Audio to Midi
Project's description says that DAWs see the standalone version as midi controller.
There will be also a VST version and if 75000$ limit is reached there will be a version for iPods.
Check the Kickstarter page for details.

Re: Bitwig is the Killa!
This competition should be great for people who have both DAWs.kb420 wrote: If anything, I just think that Ableton will respond with a newer version later this year that will include some of Bitwig's features plus a few more that Bitwig doesn't have. That will be a good thing for all involved.

Re: The Bitwig evaluation thread
I am really interested in the kinds of hatin' that seems to go on around these DAWs I have been looking at the KVR threads about BW and Live, and it is astonishing. If a DAW does not have a feature someone wants, they act like it's a personal insult to them. ... But people act as if the folks who d...

If there's one things I'd like to see fixed in 9.x versions it's:

I ordered my new DAW to complement Live9.

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
In 1.02 the splash screen shows version 1.01, but About box shows 1.02.
That distortion may disappear if you use larger audio buffer size.

Re: Record lfo/envelopes into automation
If this will be added, PLEASE make it an option.
There are good reasons why it currently doesn't record automation.

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
If Live10 was rewritten from scratch when do you think it would be released? AFAIK BWS development took about 5 years.

Re: Bitwig postpones release date to SEPTEMBER
Bitwig's Twitter account had this post today, which makes me think the release schedule hasn't changed
"@deadmau5 My night out in Vegas is actually me just sitting in the hotel room playing with bitwig studio. So far, so good!"

Re: How to do this kind of arpeggiating?
If you want a flexible arpeggiator that works with all instruments try this:

Now also has a 64bit version.

Re: endless clicking/crackling problems with Live 9?
I see such CPU increase (but from 1% to 7%) in one of my livesets when selecting a midi note only if I have MIDI Editor Preview button selected.
In other words if I move a note it is played using track's instrument.
But if that Preview button is not selected CPU% is 1-2%.
