I have an old Roland R5 drum machine. I want to know what I need to setp up to do two different things:

-Use the Roland pads to play the Impulse sets
-Also use the Roland pads to play my Korg Karma drum sets

All this in Live of course

Any suggestions?

What do I hook up to what?

Many of the answers on this thread are smart ass and not answering the question which I understand perfectly and also am trying to fgure out myself. The question is: When coming back to the same MIDI song another day, How can you get Live to "remember" the patches selected in the different...

How good of a job does Live do of creating Loops out of say an audio guitar riff I may play? And does it go kaputz if you slow or + the tempo?

Im thinking of getting Gigastudio for sampling and the BOSS DR 880 drum machine to make beats. I was wondering if anyone knows if both of these interact smoothly or not with Live 4. Trying to avoid costly$$$ surprises

Im checking out the demo of Live 4. For some reason , when I click on any of the browsers, they will not open any files whatsoever. I was trying to floow one of the tutorials. Can keep going!!

Im chekcing out the demo and considering Live. Been trying to record some basic guitar riffs. Not sure waht Im missing in the audio settings; they are all set to my sound card.

So far nothing is recording even though in the input.output tab i do see audio activity
