Re: The Great BitWig Migration
Wow... I didn't know that Studio One had a clip launcher and an integrated modulation system with every device having dedicated Macros... I looked into Studio One v2, and I didn't see any clip launching. No one seems to be talking about it having done a quick google to find out about it :/ I have S...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
Wow... I didn't know that Studio One had a clip launcher and an integrated modulation system with every device having dedicated Macros... oh WOW, bitshit can do two things studio one can't (where's the violin), and S1 can do 10 thousand that bitwig can't. LOL. Not to mention stuff like Sonar, Logic...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
Studio one was competitive at version 1.0 and now is as good and better in some areas as any major player. Yet can be had for very reasonable prices and with a full mastering suite built in also. Bitshit for 400 bucks? 4 0 0 ? It makes me quiver with laughter. It's like play school vs an IQ of 200....

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
I guess I'm one of the few people who didnt expect too much out of Bitwig. I don't mean that as a put down, but it was a first release and while ambitious, software always takes time to mature and refine. I used the demo quite a bit to check things out, and I ended up coming away rather impressed o...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
One thing I want to make clear too........me? GEAR HO. I'm not just ragging on bitshit because I have some overly fanboi link to live. I'd be all over it if it was kosher. SERIOUSLY. It's just not. It's almost embarrassing how far behind it is and for that price? Squirrel PLEASE! Finally, a member ...

Re: The Bitwig evaluation thread
This is a bitshit topic at a competitor's forum.. i feel completely comfortable conveying how I truly feel about the software here.. I'm not doing this at KVR nor would I as I have promised. I'm not over exaggerating, i think it's the worst daw currently available in every department bar one.. I ac...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
Back on topic, I wonder what that poll would look like now? why would it be any different? Bitshit is still complete and utter, er, shit. Seriously. Although I still feel that a mass protest and switch threat should be made towards ableton to fix the PDC. If they lose customers by the hundreds or t...

Re: Bitwig vs Ableton - PDC Test (Video)
I am running bitwig in demo mode, i think honestly ableton should hurry to fix this pdc . it's like only for this i would like to switch over, i cant even put some uad plugs on some channels or i can't play in notes without a huge delay. it sux. huh.. why would you switch then? Bitwig has no low la...

Re: Bitwig vs Ableton - PDC Test (Video)
I keep on thinking to myself it could be done without a rewrite, but after re reading my post from back then that i just linked, and considering it has latency for every vst effect, it probably really is buried so deep in the code the entire audio engine would need an overhaul. However, I keep wonde...

Re: Bitwig vs Ableton - PDC Test (Video)
Non-latency plugins will be off by the audio buffer, right? and it doesn't matter where the plugins are in the signal path (they will all add up together)? correct, except for factory devices. it's all very confusing. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5371186#p5371186 Here is my summary...

Re: Bitwig vs Ableton - PDC Test (Video)
If you rewire Live through another DAW that does have PDC does that fix the problem? Can anyone test/verify this? (e.g. Live -> ProTools) yes you can feed your live stems and process effects in the rewire master and also automation of plugins you use in the master rewire host and all will be in syn...

Re: Bitwig vs Ableton - PDC Test (Video)
For that reason, I am personally not bothered at all about PDC. I just don't need it, and (if I understand it correctly) Live's own approach to timing is very much linked to their approach to latency in a performance situation. This is a misunderstanding of the problem. It is not in any way a benefi...

Re: Bitwig vs Ableton - PDC Test (Video)
The funniest thing I have ever read about Bitshit to this day:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 9&t=408425
That's just classic. I really had no idea it couldn't even do *that*.

Re: Live 9.2 wish list (I know this soon?)
If ableton can include real comping and better multitrack quantize implementation and retina support and maybe a really good tape modeling proc live will be unstoppable when compared to pro tools cubase sonar studio one and reaper , then it would be minor improvements and bug fixes to kill time til...
