anyone good at editing presets on the MPD24?
I know this is an ableton forum, but there doesn't seem to be a good MPD forum and I'm using it with live so I thought someone might be able to help. Basically I do my live sets with ableton, controlled by the mpd. I want to put a guru track on to be able to occasionally do live pad drumming in sect...

Muffin, I think you are doing yourself and your point a disservice by repeatedly resorting to name calling, although I do somewhat understand the circumstances. That being said, I am really struggling to grasp what point Nod thinks he's making. Muffin posted several examples of tracks that Timbo pro...

mapping left/right/launch highlighted clip
I can't find the icons to assign a note (from my mpd24) to move the cursor left, right, or launch the highlighted clip. I have up and down, but I notice people have mentioned left and right and so forth.
Any helpers out there?

No, that's not the point. What mostly bothers me here is that everyone feels perfectly confident dismissing so much music based based on complete ignorance. You think nothing has changed in the streets since the 80's? What are you basing that on? The entire paradigm of hip-hop has changed in the las...

I live in Brooklyn, and I know a lot of young rappers, some good, some not so much. One thing I notice is that the ones who come from middle class, secure families tend to shy away from talking about money/bling/gangster stuff. The kids in my neighborhood don't have money at all. I live walking dist...

As for gangsta rap, it was interesting for about 15 minutes a decade ago and now is just boring, cliched garbage - Eastside, Westside, Schmestside, who gives a monkey's anus. It's a poor reflection on the genre, some hip hop can be great but gangsta rap is the poor bastard cousin who has never had ...

I got free tickets to Farm Aid in new york the other day. i went expressly to see Neil Young. We showed up way late to avoid most of the jam-bandery, but I had to sit through a Dave Matthews performance. I seriously do not know what makes him different than any of the million or so football players ...
