Re: need keyboard shortcut for "loop to next locator"
On the mac option+forward and back arrow keys provide a shortcut for moving to next and previous clip boundaries and next and previous marker points combined. Adding shift extends the selection so in combination with "loop selection" it's kind of covered with a few more key taps.

Re: Is there a way to select all tracks....?
To select all tracks click one track then do command A. That selects the tracks in the header only. To get an edit curser in all tracks from a certain point I use markers. Drop a marker at the point you want the edit point to start from, click anywhere in the arrangement to get an edit curser in one...

Zoom window out from a place elsewhere than the prefs
I'm wondering if it's possible to momentarily zoom out to 50% or so in the session window possibly via a shortcut rather than tweeking the prefs twice. I can't find it in the manual.
Many thanks

Re: Version 8 - little program tweeks
Hold option forward and back arrows to advance the cursor through the arrangement to the next start or end of a clip or the next marker. Yeah! The up/down arrows now move the selection or cursor to adjacent tracks and with shift extend the selection to them. Shift plus the forward and back arrows ex...

Re: Version 8 - little program tweeks
There's the ability to hold down command to drag loop and start points in clips to deactivate the grid whilst warp is on.
Also when you drag a clip end over another clip in the arrange view and then drag back the one that got hidden doesn't get erased.

Loop Brace behaviour when using rewire and logic
So I have Ableton routed through Logic. Everything"s cool apart from the loop brace behavior. The right loop point follows logics value in relation to the left rather than the selection in Ableton when I try use the "loop selected" function. Anyone have any tips to sort this? Incident...

Version 8 - little program tweeks
Has anyone found any really useful little things in V8 that aren't part of the main features written about everywhere? As an example when you double click the time ruler in 8 the view zoom level snaps to the selection. Anyone up from 7 noticed anything else?

Re: Is there a way to snap the horizontal view to the selection
Thanks for the help, Quantize. I can't get this to work yet. I set the loop brace by doing command-L on a selection. Then I select the loop brace by clicking it: it goes dark blue here. Then just above the loop brace is the time ruler, right? I double click there and it zooms out to the whole arrang...

Re: Is there a way to snap the horizontal view to the selection
Yeah that does it in steps. I want the view to snap to fit the selection in one hit. That would be nice and quick and save repeated keystrokes. Any ideas?

Is there a way to snap the horizontal view to the selection
In the arrange view is this possible? To get the zoom to snap to the selection size in the arrange? Or the loop size? Anything?
Thank you for your time.

Mind Map View
An alternative view setting for the session layout that focuses on ONE track where you can freely move clips around in relation to each other in the manner of a MIND MAP. A mind map is diagram that spiders out from the centre and visually represents ways that the subject relates to itself. I'd love ...

Drag back audio punch in point to where playback started
I'm so used to being able to drop into record and then drag back the start point to where playback started. Having to decide where recording starts all the time is an aspect of Live that subtracts from its spur of the moment element in other respects. I'd prefer to be able to have been recording all...

Clip solo function in session view.
I'd often like to listen to just one clip momentarily without anything else playing. Just adding a modifier to the click would do it, returning to normal clip mode when the modifier is released. Perhaps plus shift could make it stick until stop is pressed.
