Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
In the comparison I used live "by itself" where machine "by itself" can't...as numbnuts like to have people believe. That's basic reading comprehension. Truth is nobody is employing machine in standalone in a live environment. They are adding other elements. Its not all inclusive...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
Please learn some basic reading comprehension numbnuts. BY ITSELF, meaning you still rely on live to work a live environment, congrats to deadmou5 on employing a drumkit in his set. You just proved with that example that you can't employ machine or all its automapping crap to do it all. You still re...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
Live is a better application as a whole for sound designers who don't want a bunch of presets Disagree. The truth is that the real answer is going to be a purely subjective one for everyone. I personally prefer Maschine (which is not at all about presets by the way) for sound design because of its ...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
panten, the bottomline is that Maschine as an integrated software/hardware combo has very real advantages over Live and Push when it comes to things like the ability to have a completely mouseless workflow, having total control of pretty much every feature of the software, plugin automapping, exclu...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
You'd be surprised how many people prefer to be away from the constant clicking around with a mouse on the glowing computer screen, even though they also don't want to go back to the annoying limitations inherent in standalone hardware. The thing with Maschine though is that it gives the user the c...

I actually just called my local one to see if they had any demo units in. Salesman said it wasn't even scheduled to hit their distribution center until April 6thCrevice wrote:Does anybody know when they will actually have it in store to purchase?

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
I think a lot of you are mixing up sound design and writing music. I personally design sounds while on my Mac as its much easier to have a screen in front of you instead of 8 knobs. Plus, designing sound and writing music are two different animals. Once I get push I will automap my patches with 8 e...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
Wow, so first honest impressions of the Push are starting to come in and it's not a good sight. Push doesn't even have access to all parameters of Live's own devices 8O : The biggest turn off for me is that you can't really edit all the parameters of the synths. There appears to be a selection of i...
