Re: APC40 Noob Question
Does anything appear in the list which appears to the left when you're in the midi map mode? It will list the Midi channel, Function and so on if done correctly.

Re: APC40 Noob Question
Hi there, I'll just take it from the top, in case you are not that experienced with midi mapping on the APC... If you enter the Midi Map mode and select the macro which contains the FX you want to assign to an encoder on the APC, it's simply to turn the knob while the macro is highlighted by bracket...

Re: New ambient/drone track
Why expect critique when it's such a personal experience :-) I really enjoyed it, and as such I can't put a finger on anything bad as it is! To me it sounds like you have put your own mood and feelings into this, and that's what makes it a very individual listening experience. I'm just chiming in to...

Re: FS : Live 8(live 7 box+live 8 download upgrade+sampler)
To add some insight on the whole room correction scene, I'd point you straight to www.gearslutz.com but I am kind of assuming you allready know that? There dwells some of the most proficient tech's of exactly that, and with hundreds of threads on room correction, panels, diffusors and a huge pile of...

Re: EXTERNAL HD... as in the THE CLOUD
Even though Cloud computing and Cloud servers and dropboxes have been a buzzword for some years, it still not that fast enough or reliable (considering mobile data transfer) when you are on-the-go to justify me switching from my bus powered LaCie Rugged. Maybe if you have a trillion samples, that yo...

Re: Room treatment for noobs
It's actually rather simple to do something about it, as your lack of symetry in the setup will produce exactly those problems you describe. Forget about the foam etc. but focus on placement. These are simple rules, and hopefully you will be able to move some things around to achieve the following: ...

Take them to another room, same technical setup and see what happens there to make it easier on your troubleshooting.

Something you might want to consider when you do yours. I have been procrastinating my own build for years now, so believe me any possible angle and design has been thoroughly tried and tested, which leaves me with the same experience as yours. Currently working on getting my mind around a QRD diff...

Re: Set same fade-out for many session clips?
Aah! You were looking for some sort of process automation, and not performance control ie. a stutter effect. Imho that's not possible. My next suggestion contrary to the poster above, is to make a duplicate of all the necessary clips, now enter envelope settings for clip one's copy and edit the enve...

Re: Dennis Hopper dead
Are you trying to curse me on the internet? I'm not good with Voodoo so I was trying to get someone to deliver a pad on the back to Dennis for "Job well done" and you were the closest I could get to him in this hour, so I winged it at the same time as actually discouraging you from lettin...

Re: Set same fade-out for many session clips?
You could route them all to a single audio track which contains a dummy clip with the fade out mapped in the envelope section.

Re: Recommend me.....a Studio Chair !
If you got the money look at Herman Miller. Definitely recommendable albeit a high price tag, as it's build quality will last you for years on end, contrary to some cheaper products! I personally recommend the "Celle" model! Pricey but in the chair selection, it's so much right the "y...

All but forgot about this thread was a conception of mine, but am so impressed to se the ball rolling like this! Will definitely have to look into this next week when I'm back in the studio! Great Job! I especially enjoy this waiver: also, freima labs do not agree with the use of this technology des...
