using S/PDIF toslink to transfer sound from Macbook to imac
This is probably not the wisest thing to do - but I'm trying to make use of existing gear rather than forking out for new. I have .... an emagic a 6/2 usb external soundcard which has coaxial S/PDIF in/ out connectors. a Macbook and imac which both have mini 3.5 mm S/PDIF Toslink sockets I want to r...

Thanks - but I've tried that. It works with other ensembles - just not with Vierring. Rebuilding gives you the parameters with id no's - P0001, p0002, p0003 ... and then it jumps to P0231, P0232 etc. Where are the missing parameters ? It seems very strange - because you can use midi learn to assign ...

Missing id numbers in automap list
Some controls appear in the list in automap - but their id numbers start from P0228 and upwards ( in other ensembles the list always starts from P0001 ) If I want to assign the four Level controls, for example ( P0088, 0089, 0090, 0091 ) - these don't appear in the drop down list in automap - so I'm...

Managed to make a little progress with Vierring - have assigned a couple of rotary controls - but the Nocturn is not behaving as it has for all other ensembles. The automap universal window still says that the 'control is not assigned' - even though it is controlling Vierring on screen . There is al...

Reaktor and Novation Nocturn
I've been having some fun with the Nocturn ... but have had some issues with some Reaktor ensembles. The most useful way to programme the Nocturn with Reaktor seems to be the ID numbers - P0149 etc for each control. However - with some ensembles e.g. Vierring - selecting the id number from the list ...

24 inch Monitor Recommendation
Any recommendations for a decent monitor to hook up to a 20 inch imac ? Criteria .... No bells and whistles required - ( tuner etc ) Resolution 1920 x 1200 Ideally a thin bezel - but not critical Mattish screen ideally to match 2 yr old Imac - but again, not critical Future proofed - HDMI connection...

Omnisphere - less might actually be more ???
OK ... a bit of context ( it's super sensitive ) I might have had a couple of bottles of 'Old Rosie Cloudy Scrumpy' 7.3% proof ... and then I went and checked out Omnisphere at the Specrasonics site ... and then ... omg ... I'm lost for words ... So far I've picked up on the fact that it's ... 'supe...
