Tracks don't merge midi data, it doesn't use any extra CPU.

send them out MIDI Yoke or with a loopbacked midi cable and set the channel to get multiple inputs to receive data from ALL INs, as if multiple keyboards were playing that track.

take a step back a second. to repeatedly launch a clip with an external keyboard you'd set that track's input to external, set the Monitor to IN, enable 'REMOTE' IN in the preferences for that device, then hit midi learn and assign a key. this trick does the same thing except instead of a midi keybo...

the channel routings aren't in 'thru' mode, they're ins and outs, set 7's input like you did 9's input and all's well.

A reboot doesn't fix it? Reinstall the drivers for your midi interface. What was the LAST thing you installed, or last few things if it was a bunch at once.
