Re: Live users and Maschine - an observation
not reading the thread. why would Live users flock to maschine? That question is actually the point of this thread! Let's not get hung up on wording; my observation was that on NI's Maschine forum, most of the people on the forum were Live users, by far. That's all. I was wondering why that was, si...

Re: Live users and Maschine - an observation
So it seems NI is making good, the upcoming 1.1 update is adding almost everything that's been asked for! I'd still like to see drag&drop sample import from a daw track...but otherwise, it's looking good IMO: http://www.native-instruments.com/forum_us/showthread.php?t=80682 * MIDI Out Mode for s...

Re: M-audio Axiom Pro 25 & Live 8: Anyone have this?
I've got the regular Axiom 25, I've gotten it to work with everything except the Rack Macro controls. The keys are fantastic, I can't imagine how they've been improved for the Pro (and hadn't heard that they were). Have you installed the Axiom Live pack? Presets 18-20. To use the knobs to control t...

Re: Do I NEEEEED Battery3??
...although saying that they have some tastey drum sounds in their sample library and im not sure but (can someone confirm this) i think they are in a format that's incompatible with live. The samples themselves are simply universal wav files, perfectly compatable with Live. However the *kits* are ...

Re: Do I NEEEEED Battery3??
the only drawback for me is that you cant drag and drop samples from lives browser. You can do so in Live 8 with Battery 3. Tested that one minute ago. ;-) C. Really??? Wow, that's actually kind of big (for me). I may be upgrading to v.8 after all... Hmm, in re-reading this I see (and have confirme...

Re: Do I NEEEEED Battery3??
Especially since I seperate all my drum tracks into different channels I would have to run like 6 instances of battery on every song... plus vst synths plus fx. Why not use Battery's multi-outs? One thing I like about Battery (and VST's in general) compared to Drum Racks is having a nice big interf...

Re: Axiom rotary knobs to control Rack macros?
...Or can it only be done through clicking the MIDI button and wiggling a knob? That's how you do it. Or by pressing ctrl/Cmd+M and then wiggling your knob. .m Unfortunately wiggling the knob does nothing, the Macro Control doesn't recognize it. :-( The Axiom workd fine otherwise though; keyboard a...

Re: Axiom rotary knobs to control Rack macros?
How about a more general question:
If when trying to map something, Live doesn't respond/recognize the midi device...is there a way to "force it" to, IOW manually assign it somewhere? Or can it only be done through clicking the MIDI button and wiggling a knob?
