Re: Nord Modular and Live

Anyone else using this setup? If so, how are you using the editor? I'm using a virtual OS (XP) running through Parallels, which is the best setup iv'e found but it's still very buggy. is there a better way, apart from using another computer? Cheers I assume you're on Lion? otherwise the editor stil...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

It very looks like an audio container in fact. That would be a great point, avoiding the consolidation stuff in a way. you can use it on One audio clip to really cut slices and rearrange at wish. the greatness would be that users can use several filters they want inside one container [pitch, beats,...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

. this is how BW describes it.. An audio clip can contain multiple audio events. You can chop and edit audio files inside a clip non-destructively and loop it all as a package. I read that before, I guess it just puzzles my imagination somwhat. To me it seems to indicate a new idea of what a clip a...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

the feature I'm really interested in is that BW allows you to have multiple audio parts inside one clip.. that's basicly the one feature I'm missing in Live.. I'm not sure I understand what that means, so curious. hopefully that means you can rearrange audio parts inside a clip.. or even paste part...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

I really don't know what else to make of what you're implying. I was commenting on the 'clone' debate, that's all.. not implying that much really.. you can laugh about the user requests part but let's face it; for BW that has been a free specification list.. so my point was and is; hardly any ideas...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

I'm really kind of shocked at this one, that Bitwig implemented long held user requests is seen as copying LIve because Live could get them in the future? no, I didn't say that.. I said that about 80% of the core app is the same, where it is different is almost entirely based on user requests or ob...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

Again, Studio Vision had "clips" you could launch before Live did, which is Live's main big innovation selling point. I think there's still a gap between taking 1 or 2 significant elements to build upon and develop something of your own or just take like +80% and add a few obvious new fea...

if you're planning on not building yourself;

choose Reaktor for an unlimited library of both sound mangling and sound making devices,
MFL for Live tailored utilitarian devices that'll expand what is normally possible with Live..

Re: All Max Devices Should Be Available To Live Users.

So what is your problem ? You think that people who develop these instruments should only be able to share them amongst Max users? I have not mentioned money in any of this but (surprisingly) it seems to be of great concern to you that Ableton are not making enough money. Is this such a blasphemous...

both Soniccouture Konkrete Drums 1 and 2 are really top notch..
