Dude this is awesome! All we need now is a way to have a set of knobs that control devices on the selected track, and a way to change between devices on the selected track. That'd be incredible :)

Re: Orchestral Instrument Collection - any users?

ever tried the Logic 8 preset "Full Strings" in EXS24? you can change articulation by mod-wheel there. there are other sounds too with articulation change by lower keyboard note switch. i only heared the demos of abletons orchestra and think they are too expensive for what they are. there...

Re: Anyone using a POD X3 with Live?

I have owned a Pod 2.0, an XT, an XT Live, then sold that and bought a Behringer V-AMP, which was crap, then moved back to another XT.

Line 6's stuff is good shit, buy one, you won't regret it.

If so that could be a BIG seller for me
Given what you posted above, the Ecler Nuo2 sounds like a good, good purchase. That or the A&H Xone 22. Both warm, great sounding mixers. The Nuo definitely has a booth output, not sure about the Xone.

Re: Orchestral Instrument Collection - any users?

Interesting to hear guys. In honesty the strings are what appeal to me most, I LOVE string quartet sounds. Was also considering the woodwind however. I was really amazed to see that you can change the articulation with one macro knob, that appealed to me a lot in regard to doing large arrangements, ...

Re: recommend me a DJ mixer?

Ecler Nuo2/3/4? Xone 22/42/92? Pioneer DJM6/800? Numark M1/M3?

What do you want your mixer to do? Do you need FX? Do you need an FX loop? Do you need a booth output? How many channels do you need?

Could you link UKRuss's site in this thread so people can go check him out?

Orchestral Instrument Collection - any users?

Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone on this forum uses the OIC? I don't see it mentioned often...

Check out my Flickr for a notated picture. Next on the shopping list is an APC40. JC http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2543/3729857190_f8c5105225.jpg silver/gray monitors would make this look more uniformed i think. i like it though. Thanks very much. Think the APC is gonna come along and destroy that...

Re: The "I'm spending my APC-40 money elsewhere" thread!

Hmmm... With the faderfoxes, this control is scripted within Live's native support for the LV2 unit so it doesn't need to be mapped, Live handles it all for you (the LV2 was specifically designed for use with Ableton Live). With other controllers, I believe you can move the clip focus up and down v...

Re: The "I'm spending my APC-40 money elsewhere" thread!

No, I don't have that one - 2 of the endless rotary push encoders on one of my LV2s are set to 1) move clip focus up and down - push to start selected clip and 2) move clip focus left and right - push to stop selected clip... I can only launch one clip at a time this way but I usually set my quanti...

Is that using the Button one? You can move which set of clips the buttons launch can't you? Or am I wrong?

Re: Help! Last minute doubts about buying an APC40!!

Regardless of what you want to do, yes you can do it without Max For Live. M4L hasn't been released yet, the people on youtube have been using Max/MSP as a stand alone app to manipulate MIDI messages and send them on to Ableton. M4L will essentially (among other things) streamline this process.

Re: The "I'm spending my APC-40 money elsewhere" thread!

I have plentiful control with my bank of faderfoxes, so I won't be buying one. I'll probably spend the money on smoke, blow and beer! The faderfoxes are the only things tempting me away from the APC right now. They look freaking amazing. It's mostly the pre-mapped templates that appeal to me, they ...
