I noticed a big difference between Live CPU meter and system monitors. In Live Performance test I got 19% CPU load but Activity monitor and iStat widget showed only 9%+1% (user+ system). Why such big difference?

Why do you need 32 samples ? Are you tracking a live band or a live drummer ? (64 would be more than sufficient) If you're mixing, or playing back 512 would be more than sufficient.
