Thanks for all the replies. I was able to get a pretty similar effect by bumping up the release, intensity, and a few other things to max for the last note and the space thereafter. Using Audacity to record the sounds, or maybe the other strategies mentioned would've gotten the exact sound, though. ...

Cool sounds after hitting Stop - know how to use in-song?
Hi. I hope someone with more experience can help me out with this. I'm using one of the guitar presets in Live 8. When I play the song in Live, then hit stop, the guitar sound keeps going for a few seconds in a really cool bit of feedback. Problem is, I can't get that sound to occur within the song!...

I wouldn't go with the pro. the average life span of a lap top is 4 years. The cost of the mac book pro does not warrant the expenditure. I would suggest the Macbook, use the hell out of the machine, load it with RAM, and use it as an instrument you know you will need to upgrade at some point down ...

why is 2gigs of RAM essential? what will happen with just 1gig? right now i have only around 500mb, and ableton holds up well unless i make a song unnecessarily complex, or if i use something from the EIC. just wondering since the upgrade costs like 200$. also a quesion about macbooks: there doesnt ...
