Also meant to add licensing costs, think that can be quite expensive, not sure if budget systems come with a license or free frequencies, but if not licensed then you could end up picking all sorts of rubbish up on them, as well as clashing with radio mics! They headphones are really expensive and y...

We just been using IEM's on Scott Walkers Drifting and Tilting gigs last week, and they are fine, if set up properly. They are not cheap, we were using a sennheiser system, that had four aerials, and they really do need setting up properly, otherwise you end up getting a lot of frequency dropout. Th...

I to have a 2 year old and a 4 year old, I have some toy keyboards and circuit bent stuff that my youngest just takes off the shelf and plays with, that keeps her happy for a while, my eldest likes playing with a turn table, that way I manage t fit some time in, otherwise I just get on with stuff at...

sommer cable is very good if you are attaching your own ends! Or buy Beldon by the spool also excellent, we make all our XLR from that, and it gets absolutly battered and never have any problems with it, unless something cuts through it of course! If you want something premium, then go for something...

Anyway, I haven't read much about programming the Monome, but isn't it kind of a bitch? Don't you have to have a working knowledge and own a copy of MAX/MSP? I mean, you Pays Your Moneys and....does it work right away? Create sounds? MIDI sync? ... It is pretty straight forward to use. You download...

Thats fine, my point was never that they were doing everyone a favour and shitting and in their own shoe, but think maybe I got a little overstated! Hey if I could spend my life flying to geek fairs or paying for more tattoos without it killing my credit card, I would be happy And also giving people...

I am not sure how long I was on the waiting list for, I went for the kit, and it was probably only about 4 months max. As for the delay, and lack of machines, my take on it is that they are a non-profit organization, and also very eco friendly, I think that takes them a lot longer to get the boards ...

I don't think the Lemur and the Monome can really be compared to each other, they are very different things, and the monome will never be able to do some of the things that the Lemur can do, but then the Lemur is about 3 times the price of the 128. For me the Monome is excellent from a theatrical po...

I am just about to start messing with molar. Looks great, just need to sit down for an hour and work it all out. The problem is, I been knocking small 8 and 16 beat loops and going mad on MLR, knock a quick loop together in reason and watch it come alive. I have so many tracks that were just a bunch...
