Getting scenes to scroll

Is there a way to get scenes to scroll? I had our first rehearsal where I could finally put stuff to work with the band. I have a foot controller. I play guitar with the powerbook set up beside. But when th scenes get down past where I can see where they are I have to stop playing and try and scroll...

Counting In, launching scenes, follow actions,

Is there a way to do this? I have, in 4.1., a starting 1 bar loop that repeats 4 times before the tune starts. It's a count off. This is the 1st scene. This is for the drummer's ears only, going to ext out. Then the band comes in with Ab Live music starts, using follw actions, the whole piece plays ...

I did try it (of course!), but it's inconclusive for me. I just thought I'd ask for hard fast data.

Can Muting clips save cpu resources?

Does muting save cpu resources? Short of deleting clips from a set how can I save resources. I have several sets I'd love to have my little 500mz G3 iBook play instead of my 1 gz Alum G4 Powerbook, which I'd like to use for recordig the show. I can delete files. Just windering what else can do it, n...

Hm. OK. Options. Is it also in Live 4.1? I don't see Diverse under the Options menu. I haven't yet found Options in refernce manual. But I need to look closer. Between the Super Bowl and ordering pizza.

Nobody knows? So you can't set a start point for the metronome, like a 2 bar count off?

Counting in, metronome - click

I assume I'm making life way too difficult. Advise please . . . I'm making snippets of click track, one - two bars segments in the original DP file and exporting them to Live. Then I turn them into clips. This is so the drummer can count the tune in and have an on going click track. I have the outpu...

Thanks. Well there's nothing like trying to do something that it's not designed to do. Just wanted to know whether it could. So I can do it another way.

Yeah thanks. I know that. I need to make it so it's 100% "likely" every time. So A occurs and then B occurs with no possibility of chance. So if I have it on A 999 then it won't go to B. If I put them both on the same number it's a crap shoot.

How do I set up Follow Actions A then B no chance?

How do I get follow actions to always do A and then B? In this case I want the clip, and actually all the clips in a scene, Follow Action A to play again and then I want them to go straight to B - NEXT . I set up the chance percentages in different ways from 1 -999, but I don't want CHANCE because I...

It maybe more money than you were planning, but as far as I'm concerned the best thing going: http://www.mhlabs.com/metric_halo/products/mio/ For mobile recording the ULN-2 is where it's at. It's bus powerable so it's perfect for taking into the field. The mic pres are phenomenal as are the converto...

Here's another one I forgot. I friend I greatly respect swears by it. Studio Projects B1. About $100. Now he likes them on toms, believe it or not. Might be just the ticket.

Hm. I still like the Oktava MK-012. I don't know how much they're going for now but they were dirt cheap a while ago. Then again the Eurpean market I have no idea. I understand ATs are fairly expensive there? AT2020 or AT 3035.AT 4045? I'm going for cheap with as much high quality as I can muster. E...

Follow Actions should do it

To make this work in Live 4 I think I need to use "follow actions." I'm going to try it now, but I'm prety sure it should work.
