Hi all! Well my band is really rocking these days, and I need some sort of PA for myself in the band. The band lineup is keys, drums, bass, vox and me doing electro stuff (beat triggering, playing synth) and processed guitar. yes, that default-to-motu thing would be great for me too. I'm sure a lot of laptoppers are in the same boat... use the 'bigger' hardware and occasionlly just need to quickly fiddle with something. If motu(etc) is connected, then switch to that, otherwise use internal soundcard. same for controllers...

Anybody (except him) performing with an iMac G5?
hi all.. I'm looking into an iMac for performing with.. I do a fair bit of CPU intensive stuff in live, but i want to stay mac (due to musolomo AU and others) looking at updating my poor powerbook 667 in the next month or so, and need your help. the powerbooks are looking a little dejected these day...

From my experience, I've found that Live never actually outputs reliable MTC. It just wavers all over the place. I hope Ableton have someone looking at the issue of Syncing..because it will become more and more popular as more people start working together. For that matter, syncing technology is too...

recently I've found this problem too as i start doing some recording in 24 bit. (I was only doing this to be compatible with part of the session recorded at an external studio) I've got an external Lacie firewire drive, which should be plenty fast to handle it all. it's all of about 12-14 tracks run...
