Re: Major Problems With Live 11
this is a mess. I spend about half my workday every day cajoling it into loading projects by restarting and remaking live sets by dragging tracks one by one because it crashes all the time on every plugin I own. Support tells me they can't do anything bc 3rd party plugins are causing the crashes. Wh...

Re: live 11 crashing all the time
I'm getting two or three times daily crashes with 11 where 10 was/is as solid as a rock. Loading the demo set for instance in 11 from the new Mood Swings pack will cause my CPU usage to jump up to 120% and stay there BEFORE I even press play. Like many others going back to 10 for now until Ableton ...

Re: Live11 MIDI latency unusable
If it works fine with Delay Compensation off, then it is shows it is a plugin adding latency, not Live or audio interface or computer. Turning off plugins only mutes its output, you have to remove them from the Set to remove their latency. ^ this With delay compensation ON, when you hover over the ...

Re: Major Problems With Live 11
for me, every plugin I have is crashing Live 11 at some point or another. I look at the crash logs and it could be any plugin I own that causes a hung thread. I sent these all to Ableton and they say they can't do anything and I should contact the manufacturer. I pointed out to them that clearly not...

Re: Why does ableton constantly delete my stems? And silence my tracks?
When you say "stems", you mean audio files ? Audio tracks ?
Do you have any midi controllers attached?
Can you post a screenshot or take a video when this is occurring?
What you describe is not normal and must be caused by inadvertent input somewhere.

Re: live 11 crashing all the time
No.
As I said, When I look at the crash logs, it is all sorts of plugins.
Every plugin I own shows up as the hung thread.
There is no pattern to what plugin is hanging.

Re: CPU Load on Ableton 11 Intro using 8gb MacBook Pro Big Sur
try increasing the buffer size (Preferences > Audio > Buffer Size). Besides that, I see a few people have reported increased CPU usage with 11. Whatever issue this is, it should get fixed soon. Are you running into any actual issues like dropouts or crackling? Of course, anything with M1 right now s...

Re: Should I Dither?
You should dither when exporting the master, that should be all you need. If you're unsure of which dither to use, triangular is your best bet (it's what I use 95% of the time even though I have access to other dithering algorithms). Tarekith -- What compels you to reach for a different dithering t...

live 11 crashing all the time
hi, since upgrading to 11, Live is crashing all the time. The crash logs point to plugins every time, but it could be any plugin I own. It's literally a different plugin every time. I've sent lots of logs to ableton support, they say they can't do anything because it's 3rd party plugins crashing, bu...

Re: Macbook Pro 2019 16 inch fan noise with Ableton
Yep all 3 were bad, according the to retailer all MBP 16" with Intel i9 behave the same way. I do void the factory warranty if I open this puppy for cleaning every 2 weeks and disassemble it, right ? no, you do not void the warranty by opening the computer and cleaning it. was the room warm? n...

Re: Macbook Pro 2019 16 inch fan noise with Ableton
Clean it ? After 2 Weeks of use ? I had 3 exchange devices, ALL with the same temp. behaviour ! Brand new, out of the box ! No "cleaning" needed. I called the Apple Support several times (4-6 times), had a "personal" 2nd Level guy, which I could email my data, Apple recorded 2x ...

Re: Macbook Pro 2019 16 inch fan noise with Ableton
I feel like I'm missing something with this thread but please enlighten me because the thermal performance of the 16" macbook pro is something I follow very closely. These computers run screaming hot and yes indeed, the fans have to work very hard. That was not exactly the point and dust in a ...

Re: Something is automated but I'm not sure what.
Oh okay fair enough, something weird was happening with the clip playback not being in time with the audio, and I thought that was it. turned out to be the delay optimization was messing it up, but this is good to know.Does Ableton by any chance have a way of giving you a list of everything that ha...

I don't really look under the hood that much anymore with max4live but I can say that the Convolution Reverb is as good as any fancy, expensive convolution plugin out there. Amazing

I feel like I'm missing something with this thread but please enlighten me because the thermal performance of the 16" macbook pro is something I follow very closely. Was the cpu getting throttled when this fan noise was occurring? If not, it seems like normal behavior to me. :?: :?: :?: These c...
