Problem with Looper
Like others, I am having a problem with Looper in Live 8, involving the big button. When I use the four navigation buttons above the big button (with the mouse or MIDI mapped), or the big button with the mouse, I have no problems. However, when I MIDI map the big button to my footswitch which is run...

Re: Big update to Native Kontrol's APC40 app
I swear this guys presets are going to force me to buy an APC40. can you explain further about the new mapping and to what formally unavailable midi functions. Can it assign loading presets from browsers with 1-click (up, down)? The new update comes with a new small application called APC Shell. Wh...

Big update to Native Kontrol's APC40 app
This is huge for me, so I thought I'd share in case anyone hasn't seen it yet: Native Kontrol just updated their APC40 app (first preset, apC-CL1) to include a row of 8 user-assignable clip-launch buttons that can very easily be assigned to Live's menu functions that have, until now, not been availa...

Question about Windows 7 and USB Audio Devices
I can't seem to locate the answer to this question, seems like someone here might know. I use Windows XP sp3, and my #1 complaint with it is that each USB audio device I install (apc40, mpd32, novation remote zero, etc.) get their drivers installed as USB Audio Device, USB Audio (2), etc, which beco...

Re: apc for production?
In my opinion, using Stray's 1st preset for the APC, called apC-CL1 and available at nativekontrol.com, makes the apc's usefulness skyrocket in arrange view. My number 1 critique of the APC is that its extremely useful in the earlier stages of a song's creation (in session view), but once you make t...

+1, I think this would make the apc40 much more useful in arrangement view.

Re: Bothersome Sampling Question - How do they do it?
I'm no authority, but in my opinion: the producer used a filter/eq to get rid of some of the lower frequencies, and possibly a dip in some of the mids, leaving the horn part clear, but obscuring/taking out the drums, then layered in his own drum parts, further covering up what little was left of the...

Acoustic/Electronic/Funk instrumentals -- Clockwatcher
Here are some instrumental works in progress I've just recently uploaded to Soundcloud. I would describe these as funky instrumentals comprised of acoustic instuments (upright bass, electric pianos, guitars, percussion) with a dash of electronic sounds (synths, drum machines, etc.) Recorded, sequenc...

For Sale: Novation Remote Zero $150 (U.S)
With the Mk.2's and APC40 out, this thing isn't exactly flying off the shelf, but if anyone in the US is interested in a Remote Zero for $150, here ya go.
