The second sample sounds like the levels are too hot. There is a clicking spike in the beginning which sounds exactly like digital clipping in Live. I'm even more sure of this because the end of each sample sounds identical where the level of the second sample is below clipping. Check your levels an...

Supporting both AAC and MP3 would be an extra nice bonus. It's like them supporting AIFF and WAV as they do now. Then they would have one file format for each platform in both compressed and uncompressed. At the same bitrate, AAC sounds better than MP3 anyway. Upsampling an AAC from itunes to an AIF...

Oh well...there are 303 emuation plugins that are more realistic than rebirth anyway. Care to share a few, OSX compatible? I'm in the market... Best one on the market is (and always was) AudioRealism Bassline: http://www.audiorealism.se/ It's not just about the type of the synthesis You know, it's ...

Yes, this would be awesome. Go for it and be one of the first, Ableton. Let the others follow!

Oh well...there are 303 emuation plugins that are more realistic than rebirth anyway. And you can use and automate them in Live! :P

That's probably why it faded away.

Does anyone know how impulse works right now? Maybe it's already loading the samples into RAM by default.

So maybe there's no switch because there's no reason to switch it off?

Anyway...they say shorter samples/clips are best to load into RAM, so Impulse would be the most obvious choice.

Sorry no answer at the moment. I'm interested in this too, how PDC affects external devices. If pdc works properly, it shouldn't have any effect on midi clock delays. Otherwise, that could really screw things up. I'm currently double checking my sync w/5. I'll try to get back to in a few days when I...

I have the kensington optical orbit. It's super comfy in the palm of my hand, very natural the way the hand sits. The thumb and pinky chord for scrolling is ergonomic too. It's not necessary to shift your hand at all. I thought the expert mouse was too big and not enough of a palm rest when I tried ...

90% of the time I don't use my headphones, since I know my tracks ahead of time and I'm working with a set that I've already put together. But, for those times when I want to improvise inserting an effect or insert a new clip with new start points and manually warp it, I want to demo it on the headp...

I guess sex sells then. All you have to do is stand there and look cute & confident. It works mostly when women do it. And as long as the audience decides that's enough for them to consume until the next product comes along, the industry will continue to sell fluff. It's kind of like the hottest...

Ok, yes that's making more sense now that you explained exactly what you're doing. I guess I learned something new. I thought this is exactly what the new pdc feature in L5 compensates for. I haven't tested it myself though. So this means it's not working with 3rd party plugs? Probably a good idea y...

Yeah well what ever happened to rejecting the track then? Why do you have to accept everything that lands on your doorstep? It's just more proof that the signing happens on image, not musicianship. If someone serves me dogfood, I don't have to eat it. I can make my own dinner or if I don't want to m...

On that same note... From what I've read on the forums for the past year, mac users comment or complain about the speed difference but I never see anyone ending the thread by saying they've switched or anything. I think this makes a statement about MacOSX. People who have become used to OSX have mos...
