Re: Ableton crashing a lot lately...Memory Issue?
Been having this same issue a lot recently (8.2.1) sent in a few crash reports but still no solution I'm using a new quad core iMac with 12 gigs of ram so there's no way it's out of memory. Also it has nothing to do with third party plugins because I've had this error with nothing but Live's plugins...

Re: Dear Abes: any official word regarding OS X Snow Leopard?
Does anyone know if Ableton runs smoother on 10.6? I heard some reports of it Live using less CPU on 10.6, can anyone confirm this? Right now my main problem with Live is it eats way too much CPU on my unibody Macbook Pro. My projects have less than 30 tracks yet put a horrible strain on my CPU. Tho...

Edit I'm on 10.5.8 as well

Re: Tip! - Kill Macbook Pro Speed Step
So I deleted that file from my extensions, and my CPU usage remained the same in Ableton but it didn't put as much of a strain on my cpu as it did before. So that was good. The only problem was that after I deleted that file, anytime I closed the lid on my unibody Macbook Pro to put it to sleep it w...

Re: Massive CPU Usage on Live 8
I'm sorry to say but the problem still persists.... As soon as I opened up a project in Ableton the fans start spinning immediately. Going upwards of 5,000RPM in no time. The CPU also raises temperature by like 40 degrees! Nothing else is causing this. On itstat it says Ableton is using the most CPU...

Re: Massive CPU Usage on Live 8
I also have pretty random crashes, but that's been happening since the first version of Live 8.
I e-mailed support, hopefully they can help.
This is unacceptable....

But her fans are going up to 6,500RPM+
Not sure what to do anymore....

Thanks for the fast replies. Should I just delete that file and see how it goes?
