because the dx7 is a fm synth like operator and i am not looking for a "realistic" epiano sound, but for the classic scheezy 80's epiano sound.

how is the latency performance of the uad2 compared to the und1 ?

the uad1 used to have heavy heavy latency as I recall...

might just be a old moog synth run through a amp simulator to give it that extra "guitar like" sound....
