second anything that uses the lame codec, it gives the best quality (or at least better than most). i think i used to use razorlame frontend on pc and it was very good.

those clips probably use the operator synth which is a separate purchase. when you instantiate an operator in your live set without having a license for it, you go into demo mode where you can't save your live set - that's why it gives the warning.

for those uses you should get a soundcard / audio interface that has at least one stereo input (for recording your vinyl) and two stereo outputs (one for monitor/cue, one for the main output). using the built in input and output will most definitely result in either mediocre or very bad sound qualit...

can you program the buttons to send midi CC? you probably know this already but when you assign a CC to a switch, values higher than 64 turn it on and values lower than that turn it off. so you could set the button to first send CC with value 127 and with another press 0.
