The actual annoyance isn't about Cubase plugins, nor is it solved by moving some of the plugins into a different folder. There are plugins which react by showing a popup when scanned in this manner, detecting that they are being launched. Then, a forced scan at every startup = clicking away popups a...

No. There are some special plugins that are compatible with Live (and also very useful when used with Live), and still as a part of their operation they respond with a dialog to a scanning operation like this. For example, as I wrote in another thread, plugins "teleported" into another mac...

Disable automatic scan of plugins at program startup

Referring to this thread, the way Live 5 currently scans for plugins at every startup really should be optional. There are plugins which cause an unneeded delay at startup if they are every time scanned in this manner.

This really is a pain since there are also some special plugins that throw a popup if they're scanned in this way. For example the FX Teleported plugins (marvelous stuff, by the way!) think they are being activated and want a clearance to either search for a remote machine or run in Local Mode... Ev...

Live unlock + Re-enabling the network adapter

I have a dual boot configuration on my laptop. One of the system partitions is an audio only environment in which I have disabled everything that I don't explicitly need for audio and music work, including the network adapter (for which I don't even have drivers installed on that partition.) My lapt...

Yep. MP3 import (as OGG and FLAC import) is far more important than MP3 rendering when you look at the big picture. Now, I wouldn't mind having the export possibility also, especially straight into lossless formats. Still, importing support makes very much sense.

Simpler: cycle through waveforms

Simpler's expressive potential would reach new heights if you could drop multiple waveforms on it. This wish is not about multisample zones, however. It's just about dropping in different waveforms you could choose from on the fly. If you then had a single automatable control for cycling through the...

Arpeggiator: drop a MIDI clip to use as arp pattern

First, thank you for implementing the arpeggiator! It would even further boost the creative uses of this addition if one could freely drag a MIDI sequence onto the device from the arrangement or session view. The MIDI information would then be used as the arpeggiator pattern. The MIDI input routed i...

I'm quite sure the current way it functions is a bug, not an intentional feature. It has been discussed over here: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22352

Edit: Mr. Henke just confirmed in the said thread it's indeed a bug. No worries.

You don't have to change back and forth from fullscreen in order to freeze, it's located in the right-click menu of the track now. But still, yes, a keyboard shortcut would be useful.

(make sure the turntable is powered off, because no one really knows if the magnets in turntables can really affect your hard drive, at least everyone that ive asked) and also make sure the monitors are not touching your laptop as they 1. have magnets also, 2. can vibrate your hard drive apart.
