Re: Simulataneous Clip Editing
I am experimenting a lot these days (flu) and I have hit a problem. I have recorded 4 clips on 4 different tacks in session view. The first 4 bars went blank because I needed to catch up with tempo first so I have recorded 8 bars, from 5 to 12. Then it's time to change each clip to set start at 5 a...

Re: NI Komplete or something else?
But most of them come with Kontakt player anyway if you buy them, so technically you don't need to buy Komplete or Kontakt just to play them back. If you're not arranging complex symphonies, soundtracks, etc that need to be note for note accurate to the real thing, and you're more into making your ...

Re: NI Komplete or something else?
great question thanks 8) concerning abletons simpler: it can load a broad variety of multisample formats from third party companies, so I could create a custom library for it? I`m asking this since I have little knowledge about the different sample formats and their compatibility with certain sampl...

Re: NI Komplete or something else?
Just because you get all that stuff with Komplete you don't have to install everything or use it all if you do install everything. Yes and since I have a huge HD with not much on it yet this is even more true, but I want to see if its possible to make a custom bundle with aforementíoned comp...

Re: NI Komplete or something else?
The idea of buying a good VA, Sampler and Amp Sim is appealing. My suggestions based on personal experience and wish lists! :) ...yes and a decent beat machine -I forgot to mention this in the initial post. Hmm lets see: Komplete includes Battery... But I guess thats not really necessary since I li...

Re: NI Komplete or something else?
I chose to cherry pick the NI stuff that I like the best ...but then I would end up buying kontakt (~350€), massive (~200€) and guitar rig (~200€), which would be way more expensive than buying the komplete bundle (~480€)... ...and I wouldnt necessesarily buy NI stuff: as I have mentioned the U-He ...

Since that time I used the instrument racks included in Live, freeware Synths and samples I downloaded for free from all around the web. I gue...

Re: Novation Launchpad (+may be Nocturn) or APC 40 for a newbee
im pretty much a beginner, too. what imho is a big selling point for the novation stuff is the automap software, which makes it way easier to set up your midi devices. but I guess the apc is pretty easy to set up as well, since there is a special script integrated in the live preferences / midi tab....

global collect and save, lots of colours, etc...
I`m using Live since about 8 Months and I think its about time to make my first wishlist 8) : 1: global collect and save function: in case you want to migrate to a new system, make a backup on an external HD etc.: the possibility to scan all your projects at the same time then have the status of eve...

Re: beginner: what difference does a sound card make?
consider buying a firewire soundcard. your macbook has a firewire port and only two USB. You would have only one USB port left with an USB card which could turn into a problem if you would like to add controllers (which I highliy recommend) later on.
