are you sure that's not the key map your using?

I just click the crossfader in MIDI map mode and the job's done.
I think the key map breaks the cross fader into 3 sections so you can assign individual buttons to left, centre and right.

The mad thing about this argument is that there's absolutly no reason for not using both.

I agree. For now, the workaround is to select several clips and choose a colour. That will apply the same colour to all the selected clips. Yep, I do that for the scenes too. So when I'm running stuff like MIDIox in the background then that's gonna make the Live "CPU" meter seem to run higher coz there's less processing availabe to use for audio?

if that was the case wouldn't the meter be low if you load everything into RAM?
