Re: Revisiting Krautrock
I'm with you, I love krautrock. It's amazing how timeless some of those records sound now, especially the Neu! and Harmonia discs, they were really forward thinking, and I could easily pick one up now and assume it was contemporary. Good stuff...

Mapping 2 MIDI CC's from one footswitch on FBV MkII?
This question may be better suited for the Line 6 forum, but since I'm using my pedal to control Live (and I like it better here!) I'll give it a shot... I recently got my hands on an FBV Shortboard MKII and so far it's been great to use. My question is that I'd like to be able to use one footswitch...

Re: Presonus Firebox
Too bad you can't start the Firebox when just connected with a firewire cable to an Intel Macbook. You have to "jump start" it with the power adapter first. Hmmm, I use a Firebox as my interface with my MacBook for live performances and it never requires me to plug in the power adapter, i...

VJ Software- VDMX or Livid Union
So I'm looking into getting some VJ software to use alongside LIve, and I've narrowed it down to these two based on price and features, they seem to be pretty similar in many ways. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments on either one? I've downloaded demos of both and played around with them, and...

Re: portable interface for live use question
I actually posted a similar question a while back and I got some good answers. The 2 interfaces that seemed the best for my needs (small, portable, inexpensive {since I also have a nice interface hardwired in my studio and needed this interface for live gigs as well, not so much for exceptionally hi...

Re: Keep laptop library synced with desktop library?
Thanks for the reply, Electronathan. It's funny in that after I posted this on the I was googling similar things and I found the same Apple support article that you mentioned... Since I hadn't had any replies posted to my topic for a couple of days, I figured I might as well just do an experiment or...

Keep laptop library synced with desktop library?
I recently bought a desktop computer to replace my laptop which I'll now just be using for live performances & travelling, and I'm wondering what is the best way to keep the 2 libraries synced. After migrating my existing Live Library to my new machine I also did some extensive cleanup of the co...

Re: Looking For Portable Interface Recommendations
The NI audio kontrol looks pretty nice but it only has 1 mic input from what I can see, and I'd really like to have 2 mic inputs. Otherwise it would be perfect...

Looking For Portable Interface Recommendations
I've been playing out a bit more lately and am planning on doing a little travelling this fall so I'm in the market for a small, portable audio interface so that I don't need to take my MOTU 828 mkII out with me. I love the MOTU, but it's hardwired into my studio and it's a huge pain to disconnect &...

Write and record an album during the month of February
Want to see if you can write and record an entire album (10 songs or 35 minutes of original material) solely during the month of february? The RPM Challenge is now in it's 4th year and it's become a pretty amazing project, with people from all over the world participating. The year before last a guy...
