The Monome is a snap to setup via the mapd program, but alas you need a mac

meh, I don't find Live 6 to be buggy at all...though some of their plugins/instruments could use some polishing...impulse could be soooooo much better.

you should play with some of Live's plugins a bit more...did you just throw the plugin in without changing the settings? You should really try playing around with them a bit more...if not, Wave Arts have some sweet plugins...check'em out.
