Re: push emulation for i-pad
yeah makes you ponder to buy an ipad instead of push, they´re about the same price. Has anybody tried it? I wonder if I could plug in the ipad into my windows machine and control it. Or do you run live on the i-pad? I guess its not powerful enough.

Re: How to fight the level wars?
heres another tip: while mixing, every now and then insert a glue compressor on preset "make loud" and crank gain, then see what sounds get crushed first, and fix it. well and while i´m at it, i will stress again the importance of a balanced mix. spend hours on getting the kick and bass ri...

I'm sick of hearing about this bull-shit vapor-ware.
Bitwig sucks and Live is 1000% better than Bitwig!!! Do you know why? Because Live exists and Bitwig does NOT!!! End of story

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
what I like most about bitwig, is that they are building a sort of live from scratch. All the updates and the migration to 64 bit has made live a patchwork, I like the idea of a new software, though I´d miss corpus . I would be amazed if bitwig wasnt way less cpu consuming, but we´ll see.

Re: How to fight the level wars?
I have just recently accomplished self-mastered loudness to the point of commercial productions (its not on my soundcloud-account yet). The key is a good mix with punchy kicks and well sitting bass, where each sonic element has its place and there is no cluster in any frequency range. It took me yea...

Re: envelope following
whoaaa, I mapped the envelope to a max midi ctrl device that contains a knob for the pitch bend (this allows for hot swapping presets, instead of mapping it to pitch directly), and this now rocks! Otherworldly sounds, right now it sounds like the buzz of a fly or a racecar driving by.

Re: envelope following
Aaaaand that's enough of me giving away my best techniques for today. .lm. thx a lot lm! Actually, a gate wont represent the actual amplitude envelope of a drum sound, it will just let the noise pass when the threshold is reached, without further adjustments. I searched in the max database and foun...
