Thanks for help. I did some searching on this and found out that Live converts everything to 32 bit anyways. So the bit depth always gets reduced unless you render as 32 bit.

I'm slicing individual hits out of a 24 bit loop to save for later use and I want to export them as 24 bit. I was wondering if I should I apply dithering if I'm rendering a 24 bit sample as 24 bit? This is confusing me as I don't really understand how dithering works. Would I be better off exporting...
