I've run into this same problem. Here's my solution: Make several copies of each of the clips in your loop. I'd suggest maybe making the drums a bit brighter and also adding a small amount of reverb to them. They sound very dry and compact compared to the lushness of the rest of the instuments.

My only suggestion is maybe to add more percussion or do some variations on the beat.

Got my second Ableton track posted on IMEEM. It is definitely darker and more mechanical than my previous one.
