Re: New Korg Electribe
Just posted my video review of the electribe for those interested in learning more about it: http://youtu.be/KF9DK2eQOdw I would be interested to know how you compare the electribe to your elektrons. Not a feature by feature comparison (can read manuals for that) but would like to know which device...

Re: Push in general and with other DAWs
I doubt that Push is a particularly good controller for other DAWs. Without third party software (PXT) it is not a particularly great controller for Live. Yes they definitely sacrificed ease of use for cool looks, I find the poor marking of the buttons annoying. If you want a pad based instrument (a...

Re: The Live 9 Compressor - How is it?
I own Live 9 Suite and when I compared the two, I found that I could achieve the same audio result with the standard compressor as I could with the Glue compressor. However you do have to adjust more than one parameter on the standard compressor to equate to altering the range knob on the Glue compr...

Re: software vs hardware possibilities
Well, i still see a good reason to use hardware synth, one of it would be removing cpu process load from your DAW host. So if you use something like the virus TI, which has a VST interface, but calculates the sound on the box, this is a real advantage - you could have even more layers with this app...

Re: software vs hardware possibilities
Sound quality wise however, software is pretty much on par with hardware nowadays And I think nowadays you could ask, is hardware still on par with software sound quality wise. People say that software does not sound exactly like hardware but, by the same token, no hardware synth can sound exactly ...

Re: PUSH - lock to control surface issue
This plus we shouldn't have to rely on PXT Live and PXT General.TomViolenz wrote: And I know my way around clyphx just fine, but I don't think it should be used as a continued excuse for Ableton to be lazy and not implement better solutions to problems that quite obviously exist.

Re: NI Komplete Kontrol
Looks like my problem is between Maschine 2.1.2 and the updated version of Reaktor (and/or the installation of Komplete Kontrol). Reaktor 5 and its children (Monark, Prism, etc..) run fine standalone, vst and in KK, except that Maschine 2.1.2 can't find any of the presets in its browser (get the me...

Re: Push Weight
I also find Push to be inordinately heavy. I usually hang my midi controllers on the lip of the open lid of my piano and to do this have to stick extra feet on the controllers to ensure they clear the piano keys. The weight of Push means the extra feet don’t stay put for long. Not sure that I want t...

Re: Am I missing out without Push?
ummm, so would you return it if you could? what controller would you use instead? I think you are misunderstanding me. I am indeed complaining about one of Push's many features (which could easily be rectified by a simple software update) but I have never stated that I have no use for Push. The onl...

Re: where can i download the rgb calibration tool for push ?
I don't think that emailing tech support is jumping through hoops. Yeah but it would still be easier if the tool was just freely downloadable from the website. Are there any Push's which don't suffer from this problem? I have access to a very early model and a late model and both are bad so it does...

Re: Am I missing out without Push?
I just think maybe you're expecting a very @Ableton oriented@ musical tool to be something it's not....you know? Ableton saw fit to include a User mode on Push and my only expectation was that the User mode would function in a similar manner to other midi controllers which have this feature and as ...

Re: Am I missing out without Push?
well i actually onlu use ableton native instruments and plugins i literally dont use anythign 3rd party i view that as innefiecent. and analog and operator are incredibly awesome. so is sampler, and dit: but push out of the box should be mapped to all the encoders like on my instrument racks etc, t...

Re: Am I missing out without Push?
One switches Midi ports to send on (User Mode button), the other lets you customize the Midi signals send by the buttons/encoders to those Midi ports (the non-existing controller editor). But, as I said before: You don't even seem capable of understanding that you are wrong. Thus, I'll give up tryi...
