to be fair, it is very easy for us to sit here and give "advise" on how to run a company to people who actually run a very successful one...
heck, why don't they just release it for free?

Re: share your kick drum methods/tips
i've struggled with this for such a long time man, nothing was doing it for me and it's still the thing i struggle with the most to be honest.... i'm now mostly using a mixture of operator, microtonic, the drum machines from ableton and samples from freesound.org or from stuff i have recorded... so ...

The new Torq 2 looks really, really good
It looks like the guys from AVID worked really hard on this one. It looks great, the effects sound pretty good and it has rewire so you can have it working with ableton live in two seconds flat. first time i used it, no manual, i'm really impressed since the old one never felt like a pro's tool. Any...

Re: Is NI Komplete 7 all I need??
well, I think I'm going to stick with Komplete for now. I make alot of drum and bass, preferably liquid dnb. That's my main focus. And so far I have made alot of good sounds using massive, but I don't really understand what I'm doing. I kinda just play around until I come up with some good sounds. ...

Re: Is NI Komplete 7 all I need??
hey mister... i think you should have enough with what you have, specially if you make your own sounds... i own absynth, reaktor, ableton suite and reason (which i rarely use anymore) and sometimes i feel like i have waaay too much choice. i know it is tempting to buy new stuff but trust me, i have ...

Re: To crop or not to crop?
I tend to crop the clips, also i freeze and flatten most of the effects that are in each track, i only leave around 4 effects i can tweak live . My biggest set is 8 channels of audio, 4 of midi (to send midi to my colleague who uses modul8 to control visuals) and around 140 scenes. I also have same ...

Re: ** How many people actually MIX songs in Ableton ? **
i use live for everything, i'm used to it now and i don't mind it's limitations (like the mixer on the arrangement view) you just get used to them......... however i think i might give reaper a try since i've had it for like a month or two just to see if it makes my work flow better since i never se...
