Re: How do you do pitch correction?

There is a free max for live pack in the Packs section of the Ableton site. That is if you have Max for Live (Ableton Live 9 Suite).
which MFL device is that and does it work okay?

Re: Need a new computer for production

before i used a 15 inch and the last years a 13 inch. 15 inch better overall view and faster the 13 inch slower and requires more scrolling but it's no problem once you got used that. Also 13 inch is a bit more portable on gigs. Working with Push now so i probably need a quadcore and thats a argumen...

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

Don't rush it.

quote from Ableton support:
"The Push 2 Display Process does require some heavy CPU resources, so it's possible that if your sets have gotten a little more CPU intensive, this could push it over the limit"

Re: push 2 and BCR2000? play nice?

A problem with one Slow push-encoder......with one slow turn off the encoder it goes to the maximum but turning the encoder fast it takes 3 or 4 cycles to the maximum. I googled on this and seen more likewise problems but no real solutions. Hardware problem or deeper midi settings? On the BCR the sl...

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

mark williams wrote So your not using an audio interface? If not then that is probably why your getting audio dropouts. As i mentioned I only use an i5 which is about 3 years old, and I dont encounter these issues. Problem with these setups is, there are way too many variables for companies to allo...

Re: PUSH with other MIDI controllers?

used a lot off midi controllers but now use a Behringer BCR2000 next to a push2 for live gigs.
Once you set it up for the first time....which is a pain....it's one off the most flexible, easy, cheap and fast controllers around.

Re: use one controller both as control surface and standard map?

Novation launchkeys do that. You can switch from a ableton "control surface" to a standard midi controller with a dedicated button on the launchkey to switch. Also easy to switch to other midi channels so a lot off control as a standaard controller. https://us.novationmusic.com/keys/launch...

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

Not quick blaming because i contacted ableton support first about this, just like others here with the same problems. And its a fact because Ableton support told me that push2 takes off CPU off the host. Also not blaming Push 2, blaming ableton for not being transparant about the hardware requiremen...

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

Push 2 gives access to sample accurate realtime processing of audio files. Within the latency of your audio driver. That´s beyond simple Midi controllers. How could be expected to do that without CPU-usage? Just because it is called "DisplayProcess" does not mean it´s all about graphics. ...

Re: Update or not?

Updated recently to Sierra and no problems. MBP starts up in 20 seconds, before 50.
Only a new install needed for MFL and Soundflower but after that everything is okay.

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

you had a push 1 to compare that with a push2?
Thinking off downgrading from a push 2 to a push1 for livegigs if it's less CPU hungry.
Stupid, but maybe than i can do a live gig without audio dropouts.

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

My usual experience with hardware manufacturers is "they have no fucks to give", but it would be nice if Ableton could prove me wrong on this one.
Also my experience...problaby they concentrate on next products so no time and not interested to solve the current problems.

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

Yep this isn,t working. In a next version they should implant a processor in the push which drives the display. I actually think this detail represents some really woolly thinking on Ableton's side. I'd imagine it should in theory be possible to offload the CPU by letting the GPU do the job it's sup...
