Realtime on the fly groove templates

Hi! Don't know if this is already possible: Wouldn't it be easy in Live 8 applying grooves in realtime like Stylus RMX 1.7 (groove lock) will do? Live would just have to batch pre-analyse all audio and midi files one has and then it could apply a master groove to all inserted/playing audio and midi ...

Lives vs. Taskmanager CPU Meter

Hi! There is a massive difference of CPU usage if you compare the Live CPU meter with the one in Windows: In the current track I'm working on Live says ca. 70% and Taskmanager about 30-40%? I'm working with a buffer of 128 samples and crackling starts at about 70-75%, so I can't get higher than 40% ...

Follow Actions

Hi! I'm getting into follow actions for the first time and have a question: Say I have 20 clips and want to play them randomly. Out of this 20 I want 2 of them to be played more often. So I set chance A to "any" with a lower value than chance B (set to "first" for one and "l...

Somas description of a workaround for the automation in session problem would be the perfect interim solution til the relevant structures of Live are going to be changed! (which will take quite a while as it seems). I tried working that way, but its too timeconsuming if you are using much automation...

Got the TPC utility and was quite shocked: The highest values i get are around 1400, which seems to be quite bad? What are others getting? When building my PC I took care of everything imaginable: The right hardware like the one many musicians are using e.g. the Gigabyte EP35 maiboard) and optimizin...

More and more this is becoming my number 2 wish! (nr 1 would be session automation recording).
There should be better links between session and arrange!

Well when Live goes to 200% taskmanager says my Cpu is at 28%. I'm only using 2 instances of massive set at eco mode. So its a problem not related to the general cpu hoginess of massive.

CPU spikes (cause of NI Massive?)

Hi! I'm working on a relatively simple track at the moment and I'm getting CPU spikes of over 200% at least once a day. Live then doesn't react anymore and I have to restart it. I couldn't isolate a definite reason, but today it started once I did activate a track with Massive playing. So maybe this...

I'm using a kind of pseudo 30" Monitor system with two 20" monitors in pivot mode for a resolution of 2400x1600. You can get one of such monitors used on ebay for under 150€ which makes this system really cheap in comparison to a real 30". Would love to have one of course! :-)

I'd like to work with a orchestral library and use the midi channel information to send notes to different instrument articulations or to switch between the 16 sounds I have assigned in Kontakt. This would be the best way to do it, but I have to create a single track for every sound! :-( Quite aston...

Automation accuracy depending on buffer size?

Hi! I'm trying to optimize my buffer settings on my Audiophile 2496 between feeling and usable CPU power and came to the conclusion that 6ms seems to be low enough for me and 3ms can be problematic with my shitty soundcard. But I'm concerned about parts of Live that are working buffer oriented, like...
