according to what i've tried out, live doesn't indeed seem to have that good vst plugin performance. it's not much of an issue for me and i would guess it has something to do with live's audio engine that's designed for "on the fly" use... but i could definitely get more stuff playing simu...

i think you should've got the serial number with the receipt page that appeared on your browser after making the purchase already... in case you missed it, the mail usually seem to be there pretty fast, i think mine didn't take more than 15-30 mins. i don't know how the case with live5 is now though...

the batch analysing can be achieved by right clicking the folder and selecting "analyze audio". to my knowledge you can't make live save the analysis files anywhere else than in the same dir with the analysed files though. the scrolling bar + browser locations thing is a good feature reque...

agreed. i don't use live for deejaying / playing back mp3s but i still have the library, the song / clip folder plus a sample folder where it'd be nice to set something like 2 roots, one for my huge one shot drum library and another for all the loops, vinyl sampled snippets and location recordings.....

i think what he's asking is a compressor with key input in sidechain - ie you could use another track as the key signal.

there's been a big thread about this already. several people seem to be wishing for this feature (me included), hope it gets implemented.

on a related note, i never could assign , and . keys in live4 but in v5 i can. which means that now i can assign three logically placed clip launch/stop keys in 9 tracks instead of 7. woohoo!
