Re: design flaw in sony's mdr-7506 headphones?

I had my 7506 for probably close to 10 years now. If you ask me the only design flaw of this model would be the spring-like cable. Otherwise , it's so perfect! I've gone thru 3 replacement pads throughout the years and never had the problem you mentioned.

Re: Korg Legacy Collection

You're welcome! Just be aware that it's 32bit and, sadly, we probably won't see 64bit versions of these great instruments.

Re: Other DAWs

I use Live for sketching out ideas and then Logic for arranging and mixing. I also used to work with Nuendo before I changed to a Mac system.

Re: DJ equipment suggestions for beginners.

You might want to look at Numark's V7, NS7 or NS6 if you're looking for real vinyl feel (except that it's 7" instead of 12") for scratching. The platter is motorized and high torqued just like turntables but it's an all digital controller. It's bundled together with Serato Itch. The NS7/NS...

Re: how to the get sound of 80's VHS ?

Ha! I still have a JVC SuperVHS, an old Sony Betamax and a Hi-8 Camcorder stored in the attic somewhere with boat loads of unused tape. Gonna have to dust that off tonight and experiment.

Re: Which to use...VST or AudioUnits?

Somewhere on this forum I've got a list about a mile long about why I think VSTs are the way to go. As far as stability, it's trye that it really depends on the developer. Some may develop the AU first and then port to VST. But most will do the VST first and port to AU. I've found more cases of the...

Re: Which to use...VST or AudioUnits?

If you want to make your projects compatible with other systems, then use VST. Can't use AU with PC.

Re: aiff-c files problem

Bingo! Your vocalist is working in Logic in surround and bouncing the audio aiff files in 5.1 surround format hence the 6 channels. Had this problem before when a friend sent his stems the same way and the only workaround was to load the files in Logic and separately bounce the channels in mono. Not...

Re: UAD Apollo

Steep price tag ($1999 for a duo core model)! You could get a Satellite quad model for $200 less if you're already happy with your audio interface. Also with that price, some may opt out and get a new MBP or iMac and still have left for native plug-ins. Looks good though! Btw, Sonnox will port their...
