you can do this. load your drum kit into a midi channel. create as many new midi channels as you need for each drum piece (kick, snare, hat, etc) in each of these, set midi output to feed the instrument's channel. then you can have each drum's midi information separate, all triggering the same kit. ...

no, pbajzek is right.

look towards the upper right of your live screen, a few inches in from the right side. look for the little button with a mini-keyboard icon. disable this button

uh, but reading your post again, i realize that you're having trouble getting the xp cd going at all... sorry, i don't know what to say about that! i'm surprised it isn't chomping at the bit to let you reformat and install if it was on a desktop, i'd say yank the HD out and format it on another comp...

you can use a new channel sort of as a buss - change each drum track's output from "master" to the group channel and then that one's output goes to the master
